The Gîte : Rusticity and Comfort
  • The rustic surroundings

In the left wing of the house, on the ground floor, the stone walls used to shelter the old henhouse and the pigsty (covering 80 m2). After nine months of hard work we created a living space keeping the character of the house : restored stone walls  and ceiling with its old oak beams and rafters which used to support the maize loft.

In this very rustic setting, six people can come to relax at weekends or for longer stays, taking advantage of the facilities with a maximum of comfort.

  • By day...

A living-room with sofa-bed, tv and DVD player, the fitted kitchen area with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, hotplate, electric oven, microwave, electric, kettle, toaster…

  • … and at night.

Two bedrooms : one with a Marine atmosphere, white panelling, a double bed (1.40 m), its French window opening onto the outside terrace; the second with its stone walls, the old barn door kept thanks to our obstinacy and to the genius of Christian, our local craftsman, with a double beds ( 1.40) two bunk beds,  to the delight of children.

A spacious bathroom with double basins, a balneo shower and washing machine. Separate toilets, entirely panelled to keep the warmth of wood.

  • Outside

Access to this Gîte is totally independent on the south side of the house. A large terrace links the garden to the entrance to the living-room, with an outdoor table, barbecue,  parasol…

Absolute peace and quiet, the French windows of the gîte opening onto the garden, the maize fields and the surrounding woods.

Outdoor activities shared with the residents of the chambres d’hôtes : swings for the children, ping-pong, pétanque ( form of bowls), fishing…
